Community Partners
Khon Rak Barn Kerd - Loei, Thailand
Khon Rak Barn Kerd group (“KRBK”) in Na Nong Bong was formed in 2006 to campaign for the closure of a gold mine. The effects of mining and trauma from over a decade of protest have left both tangible and intangible scars on the community. Although the mine’s closure in 2015 represents a significant victory for the community, it also marks a new phase of their struggle: the multifaceted process of healing. The community is now fighting to restore the environment degraded by mining and repair community relationships, mental and physical well-being, and their economy
Dong Ma Fai - Nong Bua Lam Phu, Thailand
The Khao Lao Yai-Pha Chan Dai Community Forest Conservation Group (“Dong Mafai Community” or “DMF”) has been at the forefront of limestone mining resistance for the last 30 years; fighting to protect their environment, health, and local livelihoods. RadGram began our partnership with DMF in 2022 to craft a unique tourism initiative as a strategy to create sustainable income while amplifying the community's powerful anti-mining narrative.
